Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Nero Remix)

So Harris' wildly popular "Feel So Close" and remixes came out over a month ago, but it's only been released on iTunes for 2 days with it's 3 remixes, an extended cut and an instrumental version. (purchase all on iTunes for $3 HERE)

The remixes are done by Nero, Benny Benassi, and Dillon Francis: all amazing producers with their own unique sound and style that can be recognized in these remixes. While all of these tracks are great, my personal favorite is the Nero remix as it packs quite a punch with it's powerful electric drops.

Please do yourself a favor and turn up the volume and bass and let yourself be stimulated by the drop 55 seconds in.

(I've included Dillon Francis' version, but it doesn't come with a free download. Just thought you might want to give it a listen.)

Edit: The original track was removed. This edit by Laidback Luke is the closest thing I could find.

RHYNO

So here's some new underground dub that's really different from any other dub I've heard. I stumbled across this while listening to Deadmau5, though this isn't like Deadmau5. Ha. Idk. But I like it.
It's something fresh and I'm always down for producers pushing the boundaries of dubstep and introducing new versions of the genre.

I discovered the artist, not a particular song, so I've posted my 2 favorites, but if you'd like to check out his other stuff, make sure to Like his Facebook Page. Ryan Geldermann (aka Rhyno) is one of two members who make up the electro-rock band The Firmament. They have some sweet shit too so check them out. Rhyno is his solo dub project he started this year, so keep watch as he's set to release his first EP soon.

Anyway, just listen...

Enrique Iglesias & Usher ft. Lil Wayne - Dirty Dancer (Savoy remix)

This will be your new party anthem to blast out your speakers. Savoy, the gents from Brooklyn, didn't think this track was dirty enough so they threw a handful of muddy bass drops into the mix to make sure you feel  the need to shower twice after grinding on the closest person for the entire 7 minutes of this house banger.

Got a badass music video for ya too so you can see what a Savoy set is like. Lasers much?

G-Eazy - The Endless Summer (album)

Boom. G-Eazy does it again.

I thought the last thing he dropped was some bad ass shit (The Outsider), but this album some how goes harder without leaving behind G-Eazy's known chill side. Though his lyrics and flow are fresh enough, what makes his tracks so noticeable is the fact that G has an undeniable knack for finding dope ass samples for his tracks. The man just knows how to produce a song.

Anyway, you can obviously see that I like this shit, so now it's time for you to go grab an after-work adult beverage, relax, and listen to this entire album.

Now hurry, I'm a drink ahead of you!

Chris Brown - "Boy In Detention" Mixtape

Chris Breezy just released his first mixtape Boy In Detention consisting of a whopping 21 tracks, including guests like Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Tyga, and even Justin Bieber. Plenty of the songs on this mixtape are what you'd expect from Mr. Brown, but he made sure to play around with a few new things as well. I like the diversity of the tracks.

I listened through the whole thing and picked a few of my favorites while trying to show you some of the diversity. But I've got a link to where you can download the whole mixtape. Check it.

Moment Over Nothing ft Drake and Rebecca Black (My Moment Remix)

Never thought you'd like anything by Rebecca Black?

Well, there's a chance. Of course, it's not by her though, ha.

Rob Resnick, producer of music duo Timeflies, has distorted her voice (again?), created a hard original beat, and thrown in enough badass Drake lyrics to create a pretty sick track.

I'd normally want something more than sped up lyrics that sound like a chipmunk ("My Moment"), but the breakbeats really help keep it hard.

Check it out. It's fun for what it is...ha

Deon Chase - Right Back

Stumbled upon this and thought it was pretty sweet. A sensual hip-hop song for your weekend nights.  I also hadn't heard of Deon Chase, so I was interested in this new name. Found his Facebook Page and discovered he's a relatively unknown 17 year old from Boston. He's got some other great chill songs, most are free downloads, so check him out if you dig this track.

G-Eazy - Make Up Sex

So G-Eazy releases his next album Endless Summer in a week but released this track early for you to get a taste.  He samples The Generationals' "When They Fight, They Fight" which is an amazing song on it's own, and the group hails from New Orleans, where G-Eazy has been recording.

Anyway, if you get in a fight with your significant other, go for a drive, roll down the windows, take a deep breath, and throw this track on. After some cruisin' I think you'll be in a better mood, perhaps, in the mood...

It's a "name your own price" Download, so be generous to G.  You'll get your money's worth.

Bassnectar & Seth Drake - Above and Beyond

Today I've got some new filth from the high and mighty, Bassnectar. He just dropped his new album Divergent Spectrum and released this track, "Above and Beyond" as a limited time free download. So snatch it up now before it's too late, although I'd simply recommend you do yourself a favor and buy the whole album. Check out www.bassnectar.net to listen to all of the tracks on Divergent Spectrum.

I've also included the track "Upside Down" if you haven't heard or downloaded it yet. It's another sweet sample of the power behind this roller coaster ride of an album. Literally. Listen to the end of the song, and you'll hear people on a roller coaster. I wonder if we could convince Lorin (Bassnectar) to open a theme park where his tracks blast sweet nectar into your ears while riding the rides.
That. Would. Be. Pure. Awesomeness.
One day...
