Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know (High Top Kicks Remix)

Yea...yea...
There are a shit ton of remixes out there of this song, but this one is fresh.....literally. It was released about an hour ago. And as you may know, I'm a big fan of HTK (see: We Are Young Remix and Lonely Boy Remix).
Anyway, this remix starts out with a piano echoing out those familiar beginning notes, retaining the discomforting eerie emotion the lyrics convey so well. HTK stayed on pace with the original flow of the song, patiently waiting to release the bass chaos at the first refrain. From then on out, the dirty bass production does an excellent job of representing the dysfunctional relationship the song is all about.

Check it. DOWNLOAD it. Enjoy it.

Rameses B

So yea...my last post Derek Sabiston Remixes led me to Rameses B (Derek did a remix of "New Horizons") and man am I stoked to discover this UK producer.

His Facebook Page describes him as a "producer of uplifting D&B, Dubstep, IDM, and everything else."
Uplifting is indeed spot on with his tracks, "New Horizons", "Memoirs", and his brand new song "Open Your Eyes".  Rameses B has so many gorgeous and intense tracks, I just had to share his wide array of emotional sounds.
His song "I Need You (ft. Charlotte Haining)" below is a really heart felt track due to Ms Haining's soulful voice and lyrics. Bad news is...this one isn't a free download, but the good news it...Rameses B has a big ass list of Free Downloads for your Ramen Noodle budget.

FYI - "New Horizons" is my favorite.

Derek Sabiston Remixes

I've had Mr. Sabiston's "Benga - Any Steppers" remix for 2 months now, but just now researched his other music. Though I couldn't find much more about the guy than that he lives in Kentucky, he does however have a small arsenal of remixes and mash-ups on SoundCloud.

With this discovery, I found these three other remixes ("Emma - Crashing Down" & "Rameses B - New Horizons" & "Tiesto - Maximal Crazy") that are quite sweet to my ears. Luckily "Crashing Down" and "Any Steppers" were released recently enough for us to snag the Free Downloads, because from the looks of it, he only allows 100 Free Downloads per track.

So make haste and dl these two dope tracks. And definitely give the Ramses B and Tiesto remixes a listen too.

For more of Derek's music, check out his SoundCloud Page.

Knife Party - Fire Hive (Krewella fuck on me Remix)

If you haven't heard of Krewella yet, let me catch you up on them. (Also I posted them HERE).

They are girls. They are sisters. They are sexy. (oh, and there's a sick producer in there too..)

So yea, this time around they've served up some sexy ass lyrics to Knife Party's tune "Fire Hive". I've included that track below as well in case you'd like to hear the original too.

Chase & Status - Flashing Lights ft. Takura (Mac Miller Remix)

Though a year old, "Flashing Lights" is still an epic track from the UK boys Chase & Status.  Throw in popular rapper, Mac Miller, and you suddenly revitalize the tune....well, at least for MM fans.

Now personally I don't get all the Mac Miller hype, but I can still get some enjoyment from a rap remix.
Plus, the original isn't up as a free download, so why not post this one. :)

Bassnectar - Vava Voom

Bassnectar brings it every time.

That's really all that must be said about this album.

It's not free, but it's only $9 as a digital dl.  With 11 tracks, that's only $0.81818182 per song.
Don't be cheap. Buy it HERE.

COODYTANG

Christian Coody, aka COODYTANG, hails from the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area and has just gone public with his dubstep originals and remixes, and man do they pack a punch.

All of his tracks deserve a good listen, but I'm a sucker for a sweet ass dubstep remix, so I've posted his remix of "Drippin" by Mimosa, "Walking With a Ghost" by Tegan & Sara, and my personal favorite "Zombie" by the Cranberries.  Coody slows each of these tracks down a bit, giving them a sexier vibe, while letting you get warmed up enough to go hard with him when he releases his bass all over these songs.

Make sure to check out all of COODYTANG's tracks on his SoundCloud Page, and follow him on his FaceBook Page because I'm sure he'll be serving up some more gems in the near future.

Edit: Christian Coody now works under the name of DigitalShake. I also added two other favorites of mine.
